I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse. the location was absolutely stunning, right in the heart of the old town and next to the beautiful river. It provided a peaceful and relaxing environment. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, complete with a big bathroom and air conditioning. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious, and I really appreciated that they had soy milk available for those with dietary restrictions.

Everything was perfect, nothing to improve!

The hotel was as delightful as could be in a precious setting. The facilities were modern and very clean and quiet spacious for Europe. The owner is very charming, friendly and helpful. The town of Constancia is wonderful, quaint, beautiful, quiet and peaceful and an easy drive to many other brilliant tourist destinations for day trips. All in all a wonderful town and hotel, I would deifinately stay there again and was very sad our stay was so short.

Couldn't find fault with the friendly informative owner, who works in the cafe just across the pretty square all day after he's done breakfast duty, then comes back to do his chores on an evening. Constancia is a very attractive little town, with lovely riverside walks.

A bit of a quirky layout in an obviously old property. Bathroom and shower could do with updating. Luxury it's not, but it's very good value for money and I had a great view from my bedroom window.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Zézere river and offers beautiful views. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is simple but satisfactory. The value for money is excellent, making this hotel a highly recommended choice.

Can't fault the property.

My family and I enjoyed the friendlyness of the owner of the hotel, and the residents of the small town. Lots of activities happened while we stayed in the town, so we may return again next year at the same time to actually take part ourselves. .

The common spaces should have a core cosy and lively environment.

Staying in the heart of an old town near the river and with easy access to gorgeous walking spots is a dream come true. This place is just perfect for exploring the location on foot and enjoying the scenery. The rooms are clean, the staff is nice and the breakfast is top-notch.

A bit of traffic noise can be heard at night.

good price, right in town centre, free parking 100yds away, restaraunts/ bars across the street. 2nd time we have stayed here on our travels through portugal and we would use it again.

This hotel offers great value for money, with spacious rooms and a big bathroom. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the old town near the river in Constancia. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is fantastic, with attention to detail like providing soy milk.

Nothing to complain about, everything was just right.

We toured the area and spent a wonderful evening in the town square.

Constancia is a very pretty little with lots of old buildings and alleyways.There is a small sandy beach where the two rivers meet ( Toje & Zezere) The hotel was basic but clean. Breakfast was very good and the manager recommended an excellent restaurant 50mtrs away.

Could do with some TLC

The location of the hotel was fantastic, with beautiful views of the river and the charming village. Plenty of parking spaces were available alongside the road, which was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary facilities. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection of fresh fruits and English speaking staff were very helpful.

Nothing to fault!

Interesting old town, lots of history,lovely location by the river ideal for canoeing. Hotel manager/owner spoke very good english & made us very welcome.We coul not have a meal at the hotel ,but plenty of eating places close by . Good value.

Very warm welcome from the owner on arrival. The room overlooking the square was very clean and comfortable - lovely big beds. Good breakfast. Casa Joao Chagas has an excellent location, very near the river beach and restauarants.

This hotel in the charming village by the river was a real gem. The rooms were spacious and clean, with air conditioning and big bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and provided soy milk for our breakfast. The location was ideal, right in the center and close to the river, perfect for exploring and enjoying the fluvial beach.

All was great, nothing to complain about!
